35th European Kyokushin Karate Championship, took place at the ALMADA Hall in Lisbon, Portugal on 4-5 November 2022 with the participation of 241 competitors from 17 countries. The main judge was the President of the European Kyokushin Federation Antonio Pinero (9th dan) from Spain.  June 16th - 26th 2022 at Knox Indiana, about 50 students (ages 5 to 50 years old) from Kyokushin Karate School KANKU of Chicago participated in an intensive karate camp under supervision of Shihan Leslaw Samitowski (7 Dan). Main coach sensei Bruno Drab along with his wife sensei Magda lead the 10 day boot camp Karate training with rigorous yet fun activities. Each morning first training started 7:00 am sharp followed by two more classes at noon and evening. The Spanish summer camp in Benasque came to an end. Led by Shihan Antonio Pinero, more than 200 karateka’s from Spain, the Netherlands, Israel, and Costa Rica completed a challenging training program. Each training ended with half an hour sparring. Everyone did at least 150 fights these three days. This renewed balance between kihon, kata and kumite show once more that kumite is the connecting factor in Kyokushin.On Saturday, 42 karateka's have successfully done exams for a higher degree.
